How to care for micro concrete furniture?
Concrete
Concrete is a strong and extremely versatile material that is often used in the design and production of modern furniture today. Thanks to its mineral origin, it stands out for its high resistance - it can handle moisture, rain and direct sunlight without any damage. It is also reinforced with fibers, making it lighter without losing its robustness. Its surface naturally shows subtle variations, hairline cracks and irregularities, which create the unique look and personality of each piece. Despite its industrial character, cement gets along well with its surroundings: it is suitable for both interior and exterior use and "matures" over time.
How does it change over time?
Concrete is a “living” material that gradually develops. Weathering and temperature changes can create small cracks, irregularities or pores on the surface. These phenomena do not compromise the strength, but are part of its nature and give the product character. With everyday use, a subtle patina and slight changes in shade can develop, making it look even more organic. Proper maintenance helps to keep this natural development in balance between aesthetics and functionality.
How to care for concrete
To keep your concrete furniture in great condition for a long time, it is recommended to treat it with a specialized product, such as a stone protector, approximately every 6 months. Although cement is durable, it can be sensitive to scratches and stains - so avoid contact with sharp objects and acidic substances. It is advisable to use coasters and placemats to prevent discoloration, and wipe any spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap. In winter, we recommend covering the furniture with a protective cover or storing it in a dry place, especially in areas where temperatures drop below 0 °C. With this care, the cement will maintain its durability and appearance for many years.
